Since working together, his Facebook account alone has reached 33,000 users with an average per month, of 3,000 users.
Let me provide some context for you, so you know where I'm coming from...
Saturday 31st August 2024 was my last day working for my previous employer, and I was holding my last Farmer's Market. For 7 months prior, I had been marketing the event across social media trying to get businesses to attend, and telling the public why they should visit for the first time. When the previous organiser stepped away from the role, I started doing it. This turned into 5 months being an Event Organiser of a monthly Farmers Market for the first time, whilst also doing the Event Marketing (alongside doing the rest of the company's Marketing) and completing my Marketing Assistant apprenticeship. ​​​​​​​​
Rosecroft Creative was a new business I had invited to the market, as I wanted to end on a high and I thought Mark's business was exactly what we were looking for. Over email, I mentioned I would be leaving, and this market would be my last one, before I started my own Marketing business. He was very interested straight away as his business was really struggling on the social media front. We very briefly spoke at the market, but agreed to catch up the following week when the dust had settled.
Where it all started

After the market, we had a video call and I explained to him about my business 'idea' and how I had been a Marketing Assistant for the past 18 months, so my services available were essentially copied from that role. As I already had a fair amount of Event Marketing experience already, I understood the pain points of businesses when attending these events, so it was the perfect match!
We started working together early September 2024, with me managing Mark's social media for him, and slowly, his audience and reach began to increase. Mark was on my minimum Social Media Management package which includes:

In 2025, our partnership changed slightly. I knew what Mark was trying to achieve but I could see with the Social Media work I was doing for him, it'd be a slog getting there.
So I offered to write a Marketing Strategy for him to provide that direction he was looking for, and he took it. In my previous job, a strategy had been written and I was shown first drafts, so I knew what the document should look like.
About 3 months later when this had been completed, I suggested redesigning his website. Another client's had already been done by this point (see that project here), so I had the availability. Again, he agreed, so I not only updated his business from an artwork portfolio, but into showcasing his products in a more professional way. I also provided clarity on who he was, what he offered to customers and businesses alike, and built him an online shop.

During the website redesign work, I had encouraged him to take a pitch at the Worstead Festival for the first time because I thought with this better, more professional appearance we had been creating, he would be the perfect fit for an event like this. He was doubtful, from the pitch price to the thousands of people attending...he didn't think he'd fit in. But with plenty of results evidence to disprove this; showing how his customers loved his products, and knowing I was doing the event's marketing, he conceded.
This event turned out to be one of his best, and Rosecroft Creative has been going from strength to strength ever since.
